Tangerang, September 29, 2026 – The Halal Indonesia International Industry Expo (Halal Indo) 2026 has successfully concluded its four-day run from September 24 to 27, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City. Jointly organised by PT Dyandra Promosindo and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, the exhibition brought together more than 350 brands and drew international participation from more than eight countries, including Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, the United States, Thailand, and New Zealand.
Halal Indo 2026 successfully attracted 28,707 visitors and recorded a total transaction value exceeding Rp 8.4 billion. Combining retail opportunities with education, business networking, and entertainment, Halal Indo 2026 provided a comprehensive showcase of the halal industry ecosystem. The integrated format connected businesses with potential partners and consumers, supporting market development while strengthening public awareness of halal products and services.
“The high visitor turnout at Halal Indo proves that halal is increasingly becoming part of the lifestyle and consumer behavior in Indonesia. Halal Indo is more than an exhibition and promotional event; it is also a platform for knowledge sharing and networking. Halal Indo serves as a platform to connect industry, markets, and investments in order to strengthen the national halal industry ecosystem,” explained Emmy Suryandari, Head of the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency at the Ministry of Industry, during the closing ceremony of Halal Indo 2026 (27/9).
This success aligns with the vision of the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, who targets the transformation of Indonesia’s position from merely a consumer market into a producer and major player in the global halal supply chain. Specifically, this strategic step is supported by Indonesia’s achievement in maintaining the world’s number one ranking for the modest fashion sector, climbing to the third rank for halal food, and securing the fourth position for halal pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Supporting these market expansion efforts, the exhibition facilitated direct engagement between businesses and consumers. Ismi Puspita, Project Manager of Halal Indo 2026, highlighted audience participation as a key feature of this year’s event.
“At the downstream level, this exhibition successfully serves as a major showcase for the rapid pace of product innovation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). We also presented various interactive activations to engage the public and enrich the visitor experience. Furthermore, we provided a series of educational and inspiring talk shows so that both visitors and exhibitors could gain education or knowledge transfer in developing Indonesia’s halal industry ecosystem,” Ismi explained.
Building on this momentum, strong public interest and the extensive business connections established during the exhibition are expected to translate into sustained market demand. Converting visitor enthusiasm into consistent purchasing activity could support higher production capacity, help small and medium-sized industrial enterprises scale their operations, and stimulate growth across the national creative economy. These developments would contribute to Indonesia’s economic self-reliance and reinforce the domestic halal industry’s potential to become a resilient driver of growth in an increasingly competitive global market.
Halal Indo 2026 was supported by APP Group, Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan (BPDP), PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk, PT Mayora Indah Tbk, and PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and PT Bank Mandiri Tbk as banking partners.
The event also received support from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Bank Indonesia, and the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS), alongside strategic partners Scarf Media and Modinity.
